Rwanda Sees Major Drop in Bribery as Public Confidence Rises

Rwanda has registered significant gains in its fight against corruption, with new findings from the Rwanda Bribery Index (RBI) 2025 showing a sharp decline in bribery encounters and growing public confidence in anti-corruption efforts.

The 16th edition of the index, released by Transparency International Rwanda (TI-Rwanda) in Kigali on Wednesday, highlights a clear shift in both perception and lived experience, positioning Rwanda among Africa’s top performers in curbing bribery.
