IYAKAREMYE Ignace is Rwandan by nationality. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Management, and Accounting obtained from Ecole National d’Administration in Burundi in 1975.
He worked in both public and private sector institutions in Burundi as an expert in auditing and taxation. From 1999 to 2003, he served as a public servant in Rwanda at the National Human Rights Commission, where he was part of the Finance and Accounting Team.
He later joined the private sector as a consultant and expert in auditing. He served as an independent consultant for various institutions, including the Office of the Auditor General (2003–2006) and the Rwanda Revenue Authority (2006–2021).
At the TI-Rwanda Extraordinary General Assembly held on Sunday, 15 February 2026, IYAKAREMYE Ignace was elected as a Member of the Board of Directors.
