The Board of Directors is elected by the General Assembly. It is responsible for determining strategy and policy of TI Rwanda as well as playing the oversight role on activities of TI Rwanda

Marie Immaculée Ingabire, Chairperson

Marie Immaculée Ingabire is Rwandan by nationality. She holds a Master’s Degree in Gender Studies and Human Rights (University of Pretoria – South Africa), a Bachelors Degree in Journalism and Communication (Université de Lille – France), and a Diploma in Law and Human Rights (Institut de Droits de l’Homme de Strasbourg – France). Ms Immaculée is a very active human rights defender mostly on gender issues and anticorruption. Her professional career includes working in media sector and civil society organizations. She is currently an independent consultant mostly in gender issues. Ms Immaculée is among the twenty founder members of Transparency Rwanda in 2004 and she was elected in March 2015 for the second term, as the Chairperson of Transparency International Rwanda. (R0I)

Mr. N. Apollinaire SAYINZOGA, 1 Vice Chairperson

A civil engineer by training, a Project Manager and a seasoned consultant in environmental and civil engineering, Mr. Sayinzoga has served as a civil servant (1999-2002) a consultant in the private sector (2002-2007), Public infrastructure engineer specialist in UNDP in 2008-2009, One dollar Campaign project Manager 2009-2012, Project manager in ADRA Rwanda 2013-2015 and currently Construction Project Manager Consultant for UNICEF Rwanda. He serves also different institutions as an expert for real estate audit and conflict resolution. Sayinzoga is a certified valuer and chairman of the Disciplinary committee of the Institute of Real Property Valuers (IRPV), an Associate Member of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (ACiarb), and Technical Advisor in the Construction Sector Skill Council (CSSC). He was elected as the 1st Vice Chair of TI-Rwanda in March 2015 after serving the organisation as a member of the Advisory council. [RoI]

Ms. Josephine MUGENI, Board Secretary

Ms. Josephine is Rwandan by nationality. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law. She has a 8 years professional experience in Legal Practice and is member of the Rwandan Bar Association. She was elected in March 2015 for the second term, as the Secretary of Board of Transparency International Rwanda. [RoI]

Mr. Adrien NTAWUKIRAMWABO, Member

Mr. NTAWUKIRAMWABO Adrien is a Rwandan by nationality. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Rural Economics and Development Applied from INES RUHENGERI. He has more than 6 years of professional experience in Rwanda working in the area of eradication of extreme poverty in VUP Program. Mr. Adrien NTAWUKIRAMWABO is currently Member of Board of Transparency International Rwanda. [RoI]

Mr. Charles KARARA, Member

Mr. Charles KARARA Rwandan by nationality. He holds a DESS (Diplôme d’Etudes Supérieures Spécialisées en Gestion d’Entreprise – Option Finance et Comptabilité ) from ISGE (Institut Supérieur de Gestion des Entreprises – Bujumbura, Burundi) ; in this same school, he also took commercial and production management courses ; he attended many trainings and seminars relating to financial management. Mr. Karara has a 47 years professional experience in finance sector, 35 years in commercial banks, where he assumed different responsibilities, in which, the posts of General Internal Auditor and General Manager and 12 years in microfinance institutions. He retired in 2002. In 2004, he became a consultant. Today, he owns a consulting enterprise, BATEM (Bureau d’Appui Technique aux Enterprises de Microfinance) and is member of the Organization of Accredited Auditors in Rwanda (OCCAR). He is member of Transparency Rwanda since 2004 and was elected in March 2015 as Board Member of Transparency International Rwanda after having served as a member of the audit committee. [RoI]

Ms. Donatilla MUKASEKURU, Member

Donatilla is a Rwandan by nationality. She holds a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and Therapeutics, from University of Rwanda and a Diploma in Nursing and Reproductive Health from Pamplemouse Institute Mauritius ; She has more than 30 years of professional experience completed both in Psychotherapy in Rwanda in private and governmental institutions. Miss Donatilla MUKASEKURU is currently the Psychologist of ex-combatants in charge of their reintegration in community and a Board member of Transparency International Rwanda and member of committee in different women organizations.[RoI]

Mr. Godefroid NYIRIMPETA, Member

Mr. Nyirimpeta Godefroid is Rwandan by nationality. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, major in Psychology of Education, from National University of Rwanda. He has more than 16 years of professional experience completed both in DRC and in Rwanda in private and non governmental institutions. He was elected in March 2015 as a Board Member of Transparency International Rwanda. [RoI]
